When your launch doesn’t go as planned…(you don’t wanna miss this one)

This week I had a powerful session with a client processing her launch, so much so that I decided to sharp shoot about this in yesterday’s livestream.

I’m so glad that our industry is recognising more and more that building a coaching biz is not just rainbows and unicorns…and I want to share some golden tips for you about this today so that when (note: not if) it’s your turn, it’ll be that much easier for you.

We may not realize it when we are making big business plans, but not everything we offer for sale is going to work. Not every launch is going to be financially successful. Everyone I know and work with will at some point or another experience a disappointing launch. Like said – it’s not a question of ‘if’, it’s ‘when’.

Girl – let me tell you I know exactly how that feels because I’ve been there. And for sure it totally SUCKS! And when that happens, it’s really important to “sit with” the emotions and process them (ideally with a coach) and dig deep, because you have a powerful opportunity in front of you.

It’s in fact in these times that you get to BECOME MORE…find more inner validation and self love, courage and faith and other powerful inner resources that will stay with you forever….much more that when clients are rolling in and what you can ever receive from a book. This experience is like a personal and business development bootcamp on steroids (and you didn’t have to pay for it 😉

My client and I did that yesterday…but we also did the next level work. We CELEBRATED the launch! Yeah, we celebrated…and when she was telling me all about the new beliefs she has now, the new clarity she gained on her business and ideal client, and her realizations on how to adjust her offer and how she desires to run her business, I actually said “Sounds like this launch was pretty great for you!?”

Because, here’s the thing. Yeah, the external validation of people cheering you on after a great launch saying ‘Wow congrats, a 6-figure launch!’ is phenomenal. But that’s external validation. Not the type that actually increases your appreciation for yourself, not even your confidence. Can you see that?

What’s wayyy more powerful is when you learn to find that validation WITHIN YOU, despite what others “may think”! Knowing, deciding that your self-worth is not determined by how many clients you have or the money you’re pulling in or what anyone else thinks about you, but what you know to be true about yourself.

Now that’s REAL self worth. And with it comes the power to go and do it improved, bigger, better!

And there is no better time to FEEL and EXPERIENCE this self-validation than when these beliefs are being challenged. It’s through digging deep, going through the emotions and coming out the other side to discover new realizations, new beliefs and a new confidence within yourself that you really GET IT. It changes you for the good (and allows you to shine even brighter in life and business). So much more impactful than reading it on a blog or doing exercises in a workbook…

We ended up finding so many amazing gifts in her launch that it was more than worth its weight in gold. (And in my view, more important than the money, which btw will come too, of course).
